Refund Policy

Effective Date: August 11 2025
Last Updated: August 11 2025

1. Scope

This Refund Policy applies to all ticket purchases, registrations, and related transactions made through the Get Badge platform (“Platform”).
Refunds are governed by:
(a) The individual event’s refund policy as set by the Organizer; and
(b) These Get Badge Refund Policy terms, which apply in all cases.

2. Responsibility for Refunds

2.1 Organizer Responsibility – Event Organizers are solely responsible for issuing refunds to Buyers or Attendees in accordance with their posted refund policy and applicable law.
2.2 Get Badge Role – Get Badge is not the event organizer and does not control event operations.
(a) In most cases, refunds are processed directly by the Organizer through our payment processor (Stripe).
(b) If funds are still in Get Badge’s possession at the time a refund request is approved, we may, at our discretion, process the refund on behalf of the Organizer.

3. Refund Policy by Pricing Model

3.1 Prepaid Model
(a) Organizers have prepaid Get Badge for services, so Buyers or Attendees may be refunded only the ticket price (minus applicable credit card fees, unless Organizer chooses to cover them).
(b) Free events incur no refund obligations unless otherwise stated by the Organizer.

3.2 Per Ticket Model
(a) Refunds are issued by the Organizer and will be net of the Processing Fee and credit card fees, unless the Organizer chooses to cover those amounts.
(b) If an event is canceled before any funds are transferred to the Organizer, Get Badge may refund the Buyer directly, net of credit card fees.

3.3 Per Buyer Model
(a) Processing Fees are non-refundable once the ticket purchase is complete.
(b) Organizers may choose to refund the ticket price (excluding the Processing Fee) plus any applicable taxes.

4. Event Cancellations

4.1 Organizer-Initiated Cancellation – If an Organizer cancels an event, they must promptly:
(a) Notify all registered Buyers and Attendees; and
(b) Initiate refunds in accordance with this policy.
4.2 Force Majeure – If an event cannot proceed due to circumstances beyond the Organizer’s control (e.g., natural disasters, government restrictions), refunds will be issued as determined by the Organizer’s policy, subject to applicable laws.

5. Non-Refundable Items

The following are non-refundable unless required by law:
(a) Processing Fees under the Per Buyer model;
(b) Credit Card Fees once a transaction is processed;
(c) Donations or voluntary contributions;
(d) Merchandise purchased separately from event tickets.

6. Refund Request Process

6.1 Buyers and Attendees should first contact the Organizer directly to request a refund, using the contact details provided in their confirmation email.
6.2 If the Organizer does not respond within ten (10) business days, Buyers may contact Get Badge for assistance.
6.3 Get Badge will review the request and may facilitate communication but is not obligated to issue refunds unless the funds remain in our possession.

7. Disputes and Chargebacks

7.1 Filing a chargeback with your bank or credit card issuer without first attempting to resolve the matter with the Organizer may result in suspension of your Platform account.
7.2 If a chargeback is filed, Get Badge may provide documentation to the payment processor to dispute the claim.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The latest version will be posted on our website. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
